Below is a time line of our growth in CNC machining.  Not everything but just highlight of our major equipment.  For a Facility List just click this link.  To see examples of CNC machined and fabricated projects click here.

Sept. 2008 at IMTS we added our third turning center, a Mori Seiki NL2500SY/700.  This machine is equipped with a 10'' main chuck with 3'' through the spindle bar capacity. We also added the LNS S3 servo bar loader to match.  12 position turret with all positions being "live" for milling tools.  This multi-axis machine has a C-axis as well as a Y axis for off center work.  The 6'' secondary spindle can pick off parts and we can machine lathe/mill style parts complete.  We also added Chip Blaster's JV10 unit for high pressure, through the tool coolant, up to 1000psi.

Early 2008 we added two Fanuc Robodrill Mates from Methods. These machines are designed, in our mind, for machining aluminum and plastic parts fast. With a 10000 RPM spindle and a XYZ travel of 16'' x 13'' x 13''. These two can fit a majority of our machining need.  These are little giants and our a welcome addition to our machine tool line up.

Aug. 2007 we added our flagship machine. Mori Seiki's NH4000DCG Horizontal Machining Center.  I am going to layout the specs for you.  400mm twin pallets with an X,Y,Z, travel of 22'' x 22'' x 26'' and can swing a 24''. 14,000 RPM spindle, high speed machining option for full 3D contours. 1000psi through the tool coolant JV10 unit from Chip Blaster.  Big plus full contact BT40 spindle. Full 4th axis, 120 tools, Renishaw probe, and a Blum laser to tool calibration and breakage detection.  This is essential for running 24/7 type jobs.  You will see an example below.  We have also seen up to a 400% reduction in cycletime from our first CNC machining center.

In the summer of 2005 we added our second vertical machining center from Mori Seiki the Duracenter 5.  A sister machine to the NV5000 below.  A 12,000 RPM BT40 spindle, 20hp, 20 tool and 30'' x 20'' x 20'' X,Y,Z travel.  Also equipped with a data server for high speed machining and a JV10 unit from Chip Blaster.  Great all around machine for all materials.

In 2003 we purchased our first Mori Seiki vertical machining center, the NV5000B/40.  This machine was a big leap from our very first vertical machine.  Equipped with a 12,000 RPM spindle, 1000psi coolant through the tool, 1 sec. tool change and 3 sec. chip to chip, data server for high speed machining, 30hp., 30 tools, 40'' x 20'' x 20'' X,Y,Z travel. Well, what else can I say.  Awesome.

Dec. 2003, we needed to upgrade our sawing capabilities so we went to one of the best names in horizontal bandsaws, Behringer our 303A saw. can handle 12'' dia. or a 12'' x 12'' bundle of tubing. a dual column 1-1/2'' blade, fully automatic shuttle with CNC control for part length, number of part, parts per cut.  This saw was long over due. Accurate square cuts everytime.

In, 2001 we purchased our first Mori Seiki machine a SL-204 lathe.  Nothing fancy about this machine 8'' chuck, 2-1/2 through the spindle, parts catcher, chip conveyor, 12 position turret and tailstock. A great start in our decision to align ourselves with a great machine tool company.

This is the actual photo of our first CNC vertical machining center still on our floor machining parts everyday purchased in 2000. Okuma's entry level S-V4020.  8,000RPM CAT 40 spindle, 20 tool, 40'' x 20'' x 26'' X,Y,Z travel. A work horse from day one.  Recently this machine played a pivotal role in the production of a large fabricated weldment.  We can remove the side doors from process long parts.  A great machine to start with.

This image is small for such a machine that played a big role in the start of this business.  Mazak's QT 250 turning center.  The very first CNC machine.  Purchased in 1999.  This was the start of it all.  8'' chuck, 2'' through the spindle, 12 position turret, LNS Servo 2 bar feed.  This machine is still working the same as the day I installed it.
