Our New Mori Seiki NH4000 DCG Horizontal Machining Center (see photo below) is install and running. It is the center piece of are milling machine arsenal, the lastest in horizontal machining technology from Mori Seiki. It is equipped with a 30 hp, 14000 RPM spindle with multi levels of High Speed Machining look ahead features. Chip Blaster's 1000 psi through the tool high pressure coolant system. A 120 BT40 tool magazine. A Renishaw touch measuring probe for real time CMM in process quality control. In addition, we optioned for the Blum laser tool calibration/tool breakage detection. These features and options will allow us to run 24 hours, 7 days a week unmanned for optimum production and lower cost production for our customers. The next step is to add a LLP pallet pool for total unmanned operations for all of our horizontal machining work.

We have completed our LEAN manufacturing training and we are intergrating it with our ISO9000 and AS9100 training. Still on track for fall of 2009 for certification. Our Newest addition is our Horizontal Machining Center. Scheduled for delivery in September. I will have more details later as we take delivery and have it setup to run.

Our LEAN training and ISO 9000 certification processes are going well. Scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2009.

Here is an action shot of the machining of one of the many aluminum hogouts we do. 2024 aluminum started out weighing over 100lbs. After we machine it to the finished part it will be 16lbs.
Heat sink cover similar to others we have done. Using our digital height gauge to check all pocket locations. This job started on Friday will be delivered Monday Morning. Having fun on the weekend.

A 3 axis machined aluminum housing holes have a +.0005/-.0000 tolerance for size.
A heat sink measuring 13" x 18" x 6". aluminum. Low level production of 6 pc.

We have been growing and adding personnel, soon we'll be adding new equipment. We are in the process of gearing up into a 24hr. operation from our current two 8hr. shifts. I will soon be posting different success stories of projects we have done for customers with pictures for those who would like to see the work we do. Please stop by again.
